Cronin in Dublin 6 is seeking an Audit Senior to lead engagements from planning to completion, supervising junior staff and liaising with clients to ensure high-quality work in line with auditing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead fieldwork on audit assignments across a portfolio of clients.
  • Plan audit engagements, including risk assessment and audit strategy development.
  • Review financial statements and supporting working papers prepared by junior staff.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop trainees and audit assistants during fieldwork.
  • Ensure audits are completed in line with ISA requirements and internal methodologies.
  • Identify audit issues, discuss findings with managers, and propose resolutions.
  • Prepare and review audit sections, including completion and clearance of review points.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Assist in drafting audit completion documents and financial statement disclosures.
  • Support managers in budgeting, planning, and monitoring engagement progress.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as required.
