  • Preparing statutory financial statements and assisting with accounts assignments.

The Opportunity

An experienced Audit Senior is required by a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Kildare.

The firm has an excellent reputation, a loyal and varied client base and an experienced team of accounting, audit and tax professionals. The practice works with a broad range of high-quality SME clients across multiple sectors and offers a friendly, supportive working environment with exceptionally low staff turnover.

The role will have an approximately 80% audit focus, with the balance involving accounts preparation and related client work. It would suit a qualified auditor with two to three years’ post-qualification experience who is looking for greater responsibility, strong client exposure and continued career progression.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing statutory audits from planning through to completion
  • Preparing audit files for manager and partner review
  • Identifying audit risks and ensuring assignments are completed within agreed budgets and timelines
  • Supervising junior team members and reviewing their work
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and assisting with accounts assignments as required
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified
  • Have approximately two to three years’ post-qualification experience
  • Have strong audit experience gained within an accountancy practice
  • Be comfortable managing audits from planning through to completion
  • Possess strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge
  • Be confident dealing directly with clients and supervising junior staff
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills
