Job summary

Xeinadin Group in Ireland is recruiting an Audit Senior for a varied portfolio management role in Kildare. Reporting to Director/Partner level, you will supervise a collegiate team, mentor trainees and drive audit quality across diverse clients.

The successful candidate will bring ACA/ACCA or equivalent, at least 3 years’ experience, and strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS102 and CA2014. This role offers a hybrid model and opportunities to develop technical skills within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Fully qualified with at least 3 years of practical experience in a similar practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS102 and CA2014 and ability to apply this in audit strategies and results.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while focusing on client needs and audit quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and Manage Audits: take ownership of audit assignments across industries, ensuring projects are well-planned and teams briefed.
• Deliver High-Quality Reports: draft and review financial statements and audit reports with actionable recommendations addressing risks.
• Juggle Multiple Projects: oversee concurrent audits to meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Client Collaboration: build strong relationships with clients and make the audit process seamless and valuable.
• Partner/Manager Briefings: keep leadership informed on issues, risks and progress.
• Quality Delivery: execute audits to high standards, compliant with FRS102, Irish GAAP, CA2014.
• Mentor Junior Staff: provide guidance and training to junior team members.

Description Our Kildare office is growing and we are looking to appoint an Audit Senior into in a varied portfolio management role. Reporting to Director/ Partner level you will get to work with an established and highly collegiate team and manage/ mentor a number of trainees.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Manage Audits: Take ownership of audit assignments across various industries, ensuring all projects are well-planned, and Partner/manager and team are fully briefed on the specific risks and challenges.
• Deliver High-Quality Reports: Draft and review financial statements and audit reports with practical, actionable recommendations that address risks and control weaknesses, backed by solid reasoning.
• Juggle Multiple Projects: Oversee multiple concurrent audit assignments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources to meet deadlines and maintain quality.
• Client Collaboration: Build strong, effective relationships with client’s, making the audit process seamless and adding value to their business.
• Partner/Manager Briefings: Keep the Partner/manager informed on all key issues, risks, and progress on audit assignments, ensuring smooth communication.
• Quality Delivery: Execute audits to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with FRS102, Irish GAAP, and addressing key risks within budget and timelines.
• Mentor Junior Staff: Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members, helping them grow professionally while maintaining high performance on audit tasks.

Key Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or Equivalent Qualification. Fully qualified with at least 3 years of practical experience in a similar practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, FRS102, and CA2014, with the ability to apply this in developing audit strategies and delivering exceptional results.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on client needs and audit quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and present findings effectively.
• Demonstrated experience working with a variety of clients across sectors and an understanding of audit-related risk management.
