Job description

Our client, a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Athlone, is seeking a talented Audit Senior to become part of their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ Irish practice experience who is eager to progress their audit career in a supportive and progressive environment. As a Audit Senior, you will work with a varied client base across multiple sectors, gaining exposure to complex audit assignments and clear opportunities for professional advancement.

Responsibilities

• Leading and overseeing audits for a wide range of SME and corporate clients.
• Planning, executing, and finalising audits in accordance with professional standards.
• Supervising, guiding, and developing junior team members to ensure quality outcomes as a Senior Auditor.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, addressing queries, and offering practical advice.

Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant.
• At least 2 years’ audit experience within a practice setting.
• Solid technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Familiarity with CaseWare (or similar audit software) is advantageous.
