Job summary

Tech Skills Resources (part of the CPL Group) in Ashbourne, Co. Meath, is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join our chartered-accountancy team.

The role offers exposure to diverse client portfolios, leadership of audit and accounting assignments, and opportunities for career progression within a supportive, client-focused firm. You'll be responsible for planning through to completion, managing client relationships, and preparing tax returns and iXBRL submissions.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified (or finalist nearing qualification).
• Minimum 3 years' experience within a busy accounting practice.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Accounting and Auditing Standards.
• Currently operating at Senior Accountant level within practice.
• Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships.
• Tax experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audit and accounting assignments from planning through to completion.
• Manage client relationships and ensure a high standard of service delivery.
• Prepare and review audit and audit-exempt financial statements.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and iXBRL submissions.
• Assist with budgets, cash flow forecasts and management reporting.
• Train and mentor trainee accountants.
• Prepare technical guidance and support materials for staff and clients.
• Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and deadlines.
• Contribute to achieving departmental and firm-wide targets.

Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday | 8:30am - 2:30pm Friday (3 days in the office per week)

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 DOE

Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday | 8:30am - 2:30pm Friday (3 days in the office per week)

The Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a progressive and client-focused firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audit and accounting assignments from planning through to completion
• Manage client relationships and ensure a high standard of service delivery
• Prepare and review audit and audit-exempt financial statements
• Prepare corporation tax returns and iXBRL submissions
• Assist with budgets, cash flow forecasts and management reporting
• Liaise with clients, Revenue, banks and other third parties as required
• Support Revenue audits and client compliance activities
• Train and mentor trainee accountants
• Prepare technical guidance and support materials for staff and clients
• Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and deadlines
• Contribute to achieving departmental and firm-wide targets

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified (or finalist nearing qualification)
