Our client, a highly regarded and growing accountancy practice based in Meath, is seeking an ambitious Audit Assistant Manager to join their expanding Audit & Assurance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accounting professional with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience (PQE) who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Working closely with Partners and Senior Management, you will gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors while playing a key role in managing audit engagements, mentoring junior team members, and delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients across a variety of industries.
- Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
- Review audit files, financial statements, and working papers prepared by junior team members.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Identify and communicate audit findings, recommendations, and commercial insights to management and clients.
- Assist Partners and Directors with the management of audit assignments and departmental workflow.
- Mentor, coach, and support trainees and junior auditors in their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with auditing, accounting, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Accounts, Tax, and Advisory teams to provide a comprehensive service to clients.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities to add value to client relationships.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong audit and financial reporting experience gained within practice.
- Experience leading audit assignments and managing client engagements.
- Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, auditing standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
- Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop junior staff.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities.
- Commercially aware with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Excellent IT and systems skills, including audit and accounting software.
