Job summary

Cpl Group, a well-established Ashbourne-based Chartered Accountancy firm in Meath, is seeking an Audit & Accounts Senior. The role offers a permanent contract, leading audit and accounting assignments and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in practice, ACA/ACCA/CPA, and strong Irish standards knowledge. Salary ranges from €55,000 to €65,000 DOE with early finish on Fridays and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a busy accounting practice.
• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified (or finalist nearing qualification)
• Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
• Strong knowledge of Irish Accounting and Auditing Standards
• Currently operating at Senior Accountant level within practice

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audit and accounting assignments from planning through to completion
• Manage client relationships and ensure a high standard of service delivery
• Prepare and review audit and audit-exempt financial statements
• Prepare corporation tax returns and iXBRL submissions
• Assist with budgets, cash flow forecasts and management reporting
• Liaise with clients, Revenue, banks and other third parties as required
• Support Revenue audits and client compliance activities
• Train and mentor trainee accountants
• Prepare technical guidance and support materials for staff and clients
• Ensure assignments are completed within agreed budgets and deadlines
• Contribute to achieving departmental and firm-wide targets

Audit & Accounts Senior

Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath

Salary: €55,000 - €65,000 DOE

Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Thursday | 8:30am - 2:30pm Friday (3 days in the office per week)

Contract Type: Permanent

The Role

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified (or finalist nearing qualification)

• Experience managing audit assignments and client relationships
• Tax experience would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
