Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment is seeking an Audit Director to take ownership of a broad audit portfolio with direct access to Partners. You will lead the end-to-end delivery from planning through to sign-off, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.

You will mentor staff at all levels, manage WIP and resources, and play a key role in governance, risk, and strategic initiatives while building senior client relationships in a dynamic culture.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification with 8+ years' post-qualification experience in professional practice.
• Strong technical audit background across multiple sectors.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing complex client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of a broad audit portfolio from planning to sign-off.
• Review audit files and financial statements to ensure technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and develop Managers, Assistant Managers, Seniors and Trainees.
• Contribute to tenders, proposals and fee negotiations; grow your own client portfolio.
