Job summary

Downey Osborne is seeking an ambitious audit professional to join their senior leadership team in Ireland. The role offers a clear path to partnership, and a hybrid working arrangement, with exposure to a diverse domestic and international client portfolio.

You will lead the audit function, develop teams and contribute to broader business strategy, while maintaining audit quality and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Proven experience at Senior Manager or Director level within audit.
• Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS.
• Experience managing audit engagements across a range of industries.
• Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
• Ability to take initiative, solve problems and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the audit function, managing client relationships, developing teams and contributing to the wider business strategy.
• Maintain high standards of audit quality, technical accuracy and client service.
• Oversee audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Lead, coach and mentor audit teams, including performance management.
• Allocate resources and manage team workloads.
• Contribute to business development and identify opportunities for growth.
• Support the financial and operational performance of the business.
• Support strategic initiatives and wider business development projects.

About You
