The role

Azets in Dublin (Mespil Road) is seeking an ambitious and highly motivated person to join their audit and assurance team at director level. The role may suit someone already at director level or someone at experienced senior manager level ready to take the next step. The ideal person will be an ambitious and qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with strong audit and accounting experience interested in working with an international professional practice. Reporting to the Audit & Assurance Partners, the successful candidate will be a key driver of the business and help to lead and manage a growing team. The client base includes a broad range of clients comprising domestic and international businesses, including corporates, owner-managed and family owned. Candidates must have a proven track record of outstanding performance and display a high level of people and business skills. They will also be expected to have shown an on-going commitment to their personal and professional development through continuing education and development. Outstanding career progression opportunities exist for further progression within the firm, including a clear pathway to partner level.

Day to day duties

• Become a key member of the senior management team with responsibility for all aspect of the business, including people, clients and financials
• Proactive in leading and managing teams of professionals on engagements
• Managing / overseeing client engagements, including leading client communications
• Responsibility for planning, executing and completion of engagements with teams
• Managing staff schedules and work allocations together with other team members
• Participate in business development opportunities
• Ability to work on own initiative and provide solutions

What are we looking for?

• Proven experience at senior manager/director level in audit
• Ability to build relationship building both with external clients and internal departments/teams
• Experience in coaching, training/mentoring, and performance evaluations
• Technical expertise, with strong knowledge of FRS102 and IFRS and a strong willingness to further develop
• ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified
• Experience of auditing clients within a variety of industries/sectors
• Experience of auditing and accounting platforms, accounting systems and willingness to learn
