Job summary

ProSource Group’s client, a well-established South Dublin accountancy practice, seeks an experienced Audit Manager to join the leadership team and assume genuine responsibility with clear progression.

The role covers broad audit and accounts work, focusing on building long-term client relationships and delivering high-quality service across SME, owner-managed and corporate clients. You will work closely with Partners and mentor Audit seniors and staff.

Qualifications

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Significant experience in an audit role within an Irish accountancy practice.
  • Experience managing a client portfolio and leading audit engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish GAAP, auditing standards and company law.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • A collaborative leader who mentors and develops others.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to provide practical advice to business owners and management teams.
  • Acting as a Responsible Individual (RI) or the ambition to become one.
  • Experience with SME and owner-managed clients.
  • Exposure to advisory and business consulting assignments.
  • Good Attitude and desire to progress in role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients across a broad range of industries.
  • Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered to high professional standards.
  • Review statutory financial statements prepared under relevant accounting standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing commercially focused advice and developing long-term relationships.
  • Work with Partners on complex assignments, technical matters and business development initiatives.
  • Review and supervise the work of Audit Seniors and junior team members, providing coaching and technical guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, professional and quality control requirements.
  • Assist in improving audit methodologies, internal processes and efficiencies.
  • Support practice growth by identifying additional service opportunities within existing client base.
  • Participate in staff development, performance management and recruitment.

Job description

Our client, a well-established South Dublin accountancy practice and they are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join their leadership team. Reporting directly to the Partners, this is a senior position offering genuine responsibility, client ownership and a clear pathway to further progression within the firm.

This is a broad Audit and Accounts role, ideally suited to someone currently working in a medium-sized practice who enjoys building long-term client relationships and being involved in all aspects of client service, rather than specialising in one narrow area.

The successful candidate will become a key member of the firm's management team, working closely with the Partners to deliver high-quality audit and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of SME, owner-managed and corporate clients.

Key Responsibilities

About You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish GAAP, auditing standards and company law.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
