Brightwater Recruitment is assisting an established Meath-based accountancy practice to recruit an Audit and Accounts Senior. The role offers a four-day week with hybrid working and a client-facing remit.

You will supervise audit assignments, manage client relationships, mentor trainees, and prepare financial statements, tax returns and management reports. The ideal candidate is ACCA/ACA qualified, currently senior in practice, with solid knowledge of accounting standards and proficiency in CCH

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/ACA accountant with experience in a practice environment.
• An in-depth knowledge of Accounting and Auditing Standards.
• Currently working as a senior in a practice environment.
• Experience of supervising assignments and managing client relationships.
• Familiar with CCH Accounts Production, Excel, DRIVE, Virtual Cabinet and Sage Line 50.
• Must have a full driver's licence and car.

Responsabilités

• Operational supervision of audit assignments with staffing pooled to meet client needs and budgets.
• Manage client relationships and oversee service delivery across departments.
• Involvement in training student trainees.
• Prepare and present reports to clients and partners on request.
• Prepare audit/audit exempt financial statements and annual tax returns.
• Prepare budgets and cash flow projections.
• Handle inquiries from clients, banks, Revenue and audits.
• Prepare working papers and financial statements in line with procedures.
• Investigate issues and propose solutions.
• Ensure timely completion of assignments within budget and timeframe.
• Carry out assignments in a professional and efficient manner.
• Achieve fee targets for the assigned portfolio.
• Prepare technical briefs and checklists for staff and clients.
