Job summary

O'Neill Foley, Kilkenny-based and Ireland's leading independent accountancy and advisory firm, seeks an Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager to join our growing practice. You will oversee a varied portfolio of audit and accounts work, supervise junior staff, and build direct client relationships, reporting to the Audit and Accounts Manager with regular partner access.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
• 2–4 years post-qualification experience in audit and accounts.
• Good knowledge of financial reporting standards and current auditing standards.
• Experience supervising junior staff on engagements.
• Confidence in dealing with clients directly and building relationships.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised with ability to prioritise across multiple live assignments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audit and accounts assignments across a varied portfolio of clients.
• Build direct working relationships with clients as a reliable point of contact.
• Supervise trainee and qualified staff on engagements, providing on-the-job coaching.
• Manage your own time and the time of your team to meet budgets and deadlines.
• Support the Manager and partners with technical advice to clients.
