Job description

Our client, one of Ireland’s leading law firms, is seeking a talented and ambitious Associate to join its Corporate and M&A Group. The group is the largest in the firm and one of the strongest corporate practices in the country, and continued growth has created this opening.

The team is involved in most large Irish M&A transactions and many of the market’s major flotations. It advises on public and private M&A, private equity, joint ventures, migrations, reorganisations, spinouts and corporate governance. Clients range from multinationals, financial institutions and private equity sponsors to government agencies and new players in emerging sectors. Beyond deal work, the team supports clients through every stage of the company life cycle, and it has a reputation for being first to devise new structures for Irish companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise domestic and international clients on complex and innovative corporate transactions.
• Work within cross-border and interdisciplinary teams alongside the firm’s specialist departments.
• Draft transaction documents clearly and concisely, applying legal knowledge and commercial judgement.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients, delivering the highest quality of service.
• Get involved in business development, thought leadership and networking events.

Requirements

• Irish qualified solicitor with at least 2 years experience in corporate or M&A work.
• Strong academic record.
• Excellent analytical, technical and drafting skills.
• High level of commercial awareness and a calm, measured approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• A growth mindset and openness to feedback.
