Job summary

Eurofins Biopharma Product Testing Ireland in Dungarvan is seeking an Associate Scientist for the Molecular Cell Biology Team. The role focuses on quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with predefined quality and safety standards.

You will perform routine and non-routine analyses, complete test records on time, identify improvement opportunities, and adhere to GMP guidelines while supporting training and cover for colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Degree in molecular cell biology or related scientific discipline
• At least 2 years experience with Cell Based Potency assays in GMP environment
• Good understanding of GMP
• Organized, accurate, and strong documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality control testing of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with predefined quality and safety standards.
• Perform routine and non-routine analyses with accuracy and efficiency.
• Complete test records on time, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities for quality and service improvement; contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Adhere to GMP guidelines and internal quality standards; ensure all activities are documented and traceable.
• Participate in Root Cause Analysis and prepare Exception reports.
• Gain proficiency in assigned tests/areas of testing; maintain training records.
• Provide training to colleagues in techniques/tests where competency is proven.
• Provide cover for colleagues as required.
• Participate in weekend rota, overtime, and On-Call/Call-out schedules.

Job Description
