Job summary

EDC - Engineering Design Consultants is seeking an Associate Director to lead and ensure high-quality Mechanical Design across projects in Ireland. You will oversee feasibility to construction, ensuring technically robust delivery and alignment with client briefs, programmes and budgets.

You will mentor engineers, manage team resources, and collaborate with BIM teams to deliver M&E drawing production. A strong background in Building Services and chartership is desirable.

Qualifications

• 6+ years Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
• 3+ years Team Management experience.
• Proven experience delivering detailed designs through full design cycle.
• Expert knowledge in Water Services, Heating/LTHW, HVAC, Fuel, drainage and BMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee delivery of Mechanical Engineering design from feasibility through to construction across multiple projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered profitably and in line with commercial and contractual requirements.
• Mentor and develop engineers at all levels, supporting team growth and performance.
• Oversee team resourcing, workload planning, and coordination with internal departments.
• Lead liaison with BIM and modelling teams on M&E drawing production and delivery.
• Represent EDC at meetings, workshops, site visits, and industry engagements.
