Job summary
EDC Engineering Design Consultants LTD in Ireland seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the full mechanical design on projects of varying size, ensuring client care and best-in-class delivery. You will mentor engineers, coordinate with cross‑functional teams across offices, and apply expertise in Water Services, Heating/LTHW, HVAC and BMS.
Travel to client sites is expected, with opportunities for professional development.
Qualifications
- Minimum Degree level in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years Building Services Consultancy Design experience
- Expert user of Microsoft Office
- Experience with thermal modelling, energy assessment, dynamic energy modelling software advantageous
- Commercial sector knowledge and BIM experience strong advantage
- Chartership desirable
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full Mechanical Design on projects of all sizes, ensuring client care
- Provide quality control for Mechanical engineering projects across all offices
- Project cost control
- Management of project teams and cross-functional teams
- Travel to client and project locations for meetings/surveys/training
- Liaise and collaborate with other EDC offices
