Currie & Brown Group Limited is searching for an M&E Cost Consultant for their Dublin office. The successful candidate will provide accurate cost advice and support project delivery while collaborating closely with directors on various projects.

This role requires a relevant degree, at least two years of experience in M&E Services within the public sector, and strong client-facing skills. Currie & Brown values innovation and offers a supportive work environment with opportunities for progression and international mobility.

The role – what is it we would like you to do?

Currie & Brown is currently looking for an M&E Cost Consultant for our Dublin office. The successful candidate will support our directors in generating a high standard of service delivery on a wide range of private and public sector projects, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Your core duties will involve

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients
• Assisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
• Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
• Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
• Undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision
• Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner, working under minimum supervision
• Providing support to the project director in cost management of projects
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships
• Producing Bills of Quantities for M&E works, including medium and high voltage infrastructure works., pre contract budgeting, bid levelling and post contract work.

What skills and attributes are we looking for from you

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
• Membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCSI) – If not Chartered, on the road to chartership
• A minimum of two years’ technical delivery experience
• Experience of Public Sector Procurement in Ireland relating to M&E Services
• Pre- and post-contract experience using PW-CF1 & 5 relating to M&E Services
• Experience of project cost control, including management & negotiation claims
• Good client-facing and communication skills
• Well‑organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well‑disciplined and commercially astute
• A team player with a ‘can‑do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
• CostX experience preferred, but not essential
• Driving Licence
• Ability to pass Garda Vetting and Security Clearance procedures
