Job summary

Currie & Brown Group Limited is seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant to strengthen our cost management team. The role focuses on preparing MEP cost plans, BoQs and providing cost advice across high-profile projects.

You will engage with contractors and supply chain partners, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation. A degree in QS/CM and CostX experience are preferred, with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
• Experience in MEP quantity surveying, cost planning or cost management.
• Strong knowledge of BoQ production and cost planning.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Experience of cost control and contractor engagement.
• Knowledge of procurement and tender processes.
• Experience using CostX or similar software.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare MEP cost plans, estimates and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).
• Provide accurate cost advice and reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost control activities.
• Monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities.
• Review contractor and subcontractor pricing.
• Support procurement and tender evaluation exercises.
• Engage with contractors, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Assist with value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Support change control, valuations and commercial reporting.
• Work closely with project leaders to deliver successful project outcomes.
