Job summary

Currie & Brown is seeking Chartered Senior Cost Consultants to join our Dublin office. You will deliver cost management services across housing developments and public sector schemes, working with an experienced team and senior colleagues.

You will contribute to high-quality outcomes for clients, share knowledge, and foster innovation while expanding Currie & Brown's reputation as a trusted partner for private and public sector clients.

Qualifications

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to clients with limited supervision.
• Assisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments and cost management of projects.
• Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities as a proactive team player.
• Encouraging effective communication to ensure information is available for successful completion of projects; liaising with managers for efficient financial control.
• Representing the company professionally; meeting, negotiating and building strong client relationships.

Job description

Currie & Brown is looking for Chartered Senior Cost Consultants to join our growing Dublin office. In this role, you'll work alongside a supportive and experienced team, delivering cost management services across a diverse portfolio of projects, with a strong focus on housing developments as well as a range of public sector schemes.

As part of the team, you'll play a key role in maintaining our high standards of service delivery, sharing knowledge and best practice across projects, supporting a culture of innovation, and helping to strengthen Currie & Brown's reputation as a trusted partner for both private and public sector clients.

Your core duties will involve:

• Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients and undertaking commercial management services with limited supervision
• Assisting Director delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments and Providing support to the project director in cost management of projects
• Assuming a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player
• You will encourage effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
• Always representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

What skills and attributes are we looking for from you

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
• Membership of the Society of Chartered Surveyors (SCSI)
• Experience of Public Sector Procurement in Ireland
• Pre and post-contract experience using PW-CF1 & 5
• Experience of project cost control, including management & negotiation claims
• CostX experience preferred, but not essential
• Ability to pass Garda Vetting and Security Clearance procedures
