Job summary

Roughan & O'Donovan is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer for the N25 Rosslare Europort Access Road scheme in Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford.

You will supervise 1.45 km of new and improved carriageway, including a rail over bridge and two underpasses, with pedestrian and cycle facilities. The role requires a degree in engineering and at least three years' post-graduate experience on road/bridge projects, plus strong record-keeping and health & safety capabilities.

Qualifications

Engineering degree (Level 8) is required.
Post-graduate experience in road/bridge projects is desirable.
Strong admin and contract familiarity is essential.
Experience with health and safety procedures on site is required.
Proven ability to maintain records and manage documentation.

Responsibilities

Assist the senior resident engineer and employer's representative in their duties.
Monitor the works in accordance with contract requirements.
Conduct daily site inspections and witness testing; record activities.
Raise and close out non-conformance reports as needed.
Review technical queries and liaise with the design team on design matters.
Review inspection and test plans with the contractor and ensure compliance.
