Job summary

Roughan & O’Donovan is seeking an assistant resident engineer for a 24-month contract on the N25 Rosslare Europort Access Road project in Rosslare, Co. Wexford. The role involves supervising 1.45 km of new and improved carriageway with rail over bridge and pedestrian/cycle facilities.

The candidate holds an engineering degree (Level 8) and at least three years’ post-graduate experience in road/bridge delivery, with strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, AutoCAD) and fluent English.

Qualifications

• A degree in engineering (Level 8 qualification or equivalent).
• At least three years post-graduate experience as an assistant resident engineer in road/bridge delivery.
• Experience with railway environments and PW-CF3 a plus.
• Proven ability to read plans and manage documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Assist the senior resident engineer and employer’s representative in duties.
• Monitor execution of works per contract requirements.
• Carry out daily site inspections and witness testing.
• Raise and close out non-conformance reports.
• Review design queries and inspection/test plans with the contractor.
