Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd in Ireland is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major energy infrastructure project, including a 400kV underground connection between Dunstown, Co. Kildare and Woodland, Co. Meath.

You will work closely with the Commercial Manager and senior QS to assist with financial and contractual management. Responsibilities include tender preparation, variations, valuations and final accounts under supervision; prepare subcontractor

Qualifications

Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships.
Demonstrates commercial awareness and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Support the commercial team in day-to-day duties.
Assist with tenders including measurement, packaging and analysis.
Assist with variations, valuations and final accounts under supervision.
Prepare subcontractor valuations and final accounts with guidance.
Carry out site measurement and maintain accurate records and control documents.
Monitor progress on site and report on commercial impacts.
Attend site and subcontractor meetings as required.
Contribute to cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and cash management under supervision.
Assist with the implementation of the commercial strategy.
Ensure risk and opportunity are considered during all commercial activities.
