Job summary

John Sisk & Son is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of a major energy infrastructure project in Ireland, contributing to cost control and the development of CVRs and cash management under supervision.

You will work with the Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyors, assisting with tender measurement, valuations, final accounts, subcontractor valuations, and site measurements, while building commercial awareness and knowledge of contract forms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying and understanding of the Standard Method of Measurement (SMM).
• Awareness of FIDIC forms of contract.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the commercial team in day-to-day duties.
• Assist with tenders including measurement, packaging and analysis.
• Assist with variations, valuations and final accounts under supervision.
• Prepare subcontractor valuations and final accounts with guidance.
• Carry out site measurement and maintain accurate records and control documents.
• Monitor progress on site and report on commercial impacts.
• Attend site and subcontractor meetings as required.
• Contribute to cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and cash management under supervision.
• Assist with the implementation of the commercial strategy.
• Ensure risk and opportunity are considered during all commercial activities.
