Job summary

The College Green Hotel Dublin, Autograph Collection, part of the MHL Hotel Collection and Marriott International, is seeking an experienced and driven Assistant Financial Controller to join our Finance team.

You will manage day-to-day finance operations, including payroll, financial reporting, audit and control programs, asset & liability reconciliation and assisting the Director of Finance with other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior finance or accounting role, ideally within hospitality.
• Accounting or finance qualification, or currently working towards a recognised professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, controls and accounting processes.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, hands on approach and the confidence to take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Reconcile the balance sheet and ensure account balances are supported by documentation.
• Ensure that relevant financial reports are accurate and on time.
• Monitor and control all sales revenue streams and maintain POS integrity.
• Process hotel payroll accurately and on time.
• Assist accounting staff with day-to-day operations and resolve queries promptly.
• Oversee cash handling procedures and float controls.
• Oversee debtors with timely collection and enforce credit policy.
• Oversee accounts payable and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Assist External Auditor with annual financial audit.
