Job summary

Carton House in Maynooth, Ireland, invites applications for an Assistant Director of Finance to lead our finance team within a five-star resort. You will report to the Director of Finance and Business Support, oversee financial operations, produce reports, analyse performance and help shape forecasts and annual budgets.

The role requires a professional accounting qualification, 3 years in a busy 4/5-star hotel, strong IT skills with Opera, Procure Wizard, Silverware, Micros, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Hotel financial controller experience in a busy 4/5* hotel.
• Professional accounting qualification or Business Management degree.
• Strong IT skills with accounting software and front office systems.
• Experience with Opera, Procure Wizard, Silverware and Micros is beneficial.
• High level analysis of financial data using Excel, Outlook and Word.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Director of Finance and Business Support.
• Provide high standards of financial and commercial support to the business.
• Manage all financial operations and internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Conduct financial analysis and generate regular reports.
• Develop and monitor forecasts and assist with annual budgeting.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.
