Job summary

The Agency Cayman is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller in Dublin to join a fast-growing global financial services client. This is a first move out of practice for newly or recently qualified ACA accountants, working closely with the Financial Controller and CFO to produce accurate financial and management accounts across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA with up to 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience in a Top 6 audit firm.
• Background in audit or financial management for alternative investments (hedge funds, PE, private credit, or real assets).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Experience handling multi-currency ledgers, funds, and tax/regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day finance and AR/AP, multi-currency ledgers.
• Prepare statutory and internal management reports across international jurisdictions.
• Perform general ledger reviews, monthly journal postings, and maintain robust accounting processes.
• Support group consolidation, cash management, and treasury duties.
• Assist in budgets, financial forecasts, cash flow models, and advanced financial analysis.
• Collaborate with the CFO and Managing Directors to implement broader financial and operational strategies.
• Contribute to special ad-hoc finance projects and lead IT reporting enhancements.
