Job summary

Gilligan Black Recruitment in Ireland is seeking a finance professional to work with a Finance Manager and develop into a fully qualified accountant. The role focuses on maintaining financial information, controls and performance analysis within a fast-paced environment.

You will handle month-end processes, journals, accruals and prepayments, reconcile accounts, payroll, VAT and CRO returns, sales reporting and audits, with exam support and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Exam in progress for accounting qualification with at least 1 year of broad accounting experience.
• Experience in month-end close, journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Experience with payroll, VAT returns and CRO returns desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial information and internal controls with performance analysis.
• Handle month-end close: journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Reconcile accounts; support payroll, AP, VAT and CRO returns, sales reports and stock takes.
• Assist in audits and stock takes as required.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a strong Finance Manager and mentor and develop into a fully qualified accountant with a highly successful Irish Brand. Your role will involve, maintaining the financial information, controls and conducting accurate analysis of performance of the business. Implementing improvements and getting involved in projects as they arise.

You will work with month end accounts process, prepping the journals, accruals and prepayments, reconciling accounts, payroll, support AP, Vat Returns, Complete CRO returns, sales reports, support on audits and stock takes.

It is essential you have already commenced your accounting exams, with no less than 1 year in a fast paced broad accounting role OUTSIDE PRACTICE.
