CSG Accountants in Tralee seeks an Audit Trainee to join our expanding team. You will support planning and execution of audit assignments across diverse clients while progressing toward a professional accounting qualification.

The role emphasizes developing technical and commercial skills, hands-on audit testing, filing working papers, and collaborating with tax, advisory, and financial reporting teams. Hybrid working and a structured trainee programme are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong academic record and an interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification, preferably ACCA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and execution of audit assignments for a range of clients across various industries.
• Perform audit testing and documentation in accordance with firm methodologies and professional standards.
• Prepare working papers and assist in the completion of audit files.
• Support senior team members in identifying and resolving audit and accounting issues.
• Participate in stock takes and other audit fieldwork activities as required.
• Develop an understanding of financial statements, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Build professional relationships with clients and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Audit team.
• Work closely with colleagues across other service lines, including Tax, Advisory, and Financial Reporting, to support clients' wider business needs.
• Actively engage in training and development programmes and make progress towards a professional accounting qualification.

CSG is one of the leading accounting practices in Munster. The firm provides audit, accounting, taxation, corporate finance, and advisory services to abroad spectrum of clients. We are seeking a senior auditor to join our expanding team in Tralee.

Role Purpose:

To support the delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services to a diverse portfolio of clients while developing technical, professional, and commercial skills.
