Job summary

Astute is recruiting an Asset Manager for its Dublin office to oversee wind, solar and BESS assets across Europe. A strong electrical background in engineering, maintenance or operations is required, with opportunities to advance through HV Diploma and long‑term career progression.

You will report to the Director of Asset Operations and work with O&M providers, contractors and technical teams to optimise performance and reliability while managing budgets and reporting on KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering, maintenance, field service or operations.
• Strong electrical knowledge, ideally within renewables, power generation or utilities.
• MV/HV systems understanding with willingness to develop further expertise.

Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with a renewable energy investor and asset manager to recruit an Asset Manager for its Dublin office.

The role offers a competitive salary DOE, alongside long-term career progression and access to further technical development, including an HV Diploma.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong electrical background in engineering, maintenance or operations to transition into asset management across wind, solar and battery storage.

Responsibilities and duties of the Asset Manager role

Reporting to the Director of Asset Operations you will:

• Support the management and optimisation of operational wind, solar and BESS assets across Europe.
• Apply your electrical knowledge to assess asset performance, investigate faults and improve reliability.
• Work with O&M providers, contractors and technical teams to resolve operational issues.
• Develop your understanding of MV/HV systems, grid connections and renewable energy operations.
• Support contract management, operational budgets and technical performance reporting.
• Monitor asset performance against key technical and commercial KPIs.

Professional qualifications

• Experience in an electrical engineering, maintenance, field service or operations role.
• Strong electrical knowledge, ideally within renewables, power generation or utilities.
• A relevant electrical qualification, such as a degree, HNC or HND.
• An understanding of MV/HV systems, with a willingness to develop further expertise.
• An interest in moving into asset management and developing commercial and operational skills.
