Job summary

Atlas NextWave is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across Ireland. The role acts as the owner's representative, overseeing contractors and key stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality outcomes.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in complex construction, a degree in Engineering or related field, and professional qualifications such as

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience delivering complex construction projects.
• Experience managing contractors, project budgets and construction programmes.
• Experience with MV/HV electrical infrastructure and grid connection works.
• Knowledge of FIDIC, EPC or EPCM contract environments.
• Professional qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, IOSH, NEBOSH or Chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction delivery of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects.
• Manage EPC contractors, consultants and project stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Oversee health, safety, environmental and quality compliance across all sites.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate commissioning, testing, energisation and handover activities.
• Liaise with utilities, local authorities, landowners and other key stakeholders.
• Support contractor procurement and tender evaluation processes.
• You will be an experienced construction or project delivery professional with a successful track record in renewable energy, infrastructure or major engineering projects.

Atlas NextWave is delighted to be supporting a well-backed and rapidly growing renewable energy developer in the search for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects across Ireland. The client has an established track record in the renewable energy sector and is driving the development and construction of large-scale clean energy infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for taking projects from pre-construction through to commissioning, commercial operation and final handover. The successful candidate will act as the owner's representative, overseeing contractors, consultants and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

• Lead the construction delivery of utility-scale solar PV and energy storage projects.
• Manage EPC contractors, consultants and project stakeholders throughout the construction lifecycle.

• Utility-scale Solar PV and/or Battery Energy Storage experience.

• Professional qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, IOSH, NEBOSH or Chartered status.
