Job summary

Morgan McKinley Ireland is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our IT operations team in Cork. You will act as the primary analyst for user access, troubleshoot issues, and support Power BI data models and Power Automate workflows.

The role requires strong governance of SLAs, detail orientation, and excellent collaboration with clinical monitors and external vendors to ensure audit-ready records and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an Application Support Analyst or similar role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication for liaison with internal teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary analyst for account setups, reactivations, role changes, and permission updates in clinical software.
• Troubleshoot access issues using Power BI dashboards and application records to resolve errors.
• Run and monitor Power Automate flows and maintain semantic models/dataflows for provisioning and reporting.

Job description

• Application Access & Ticket Management: Action a high-volume shared Outlook inbox as the primary analyst for account setups, reactivations, role adjustments, and permission updates across specialized clinical software applications.
• Access Troubleshooting & Root-Cause Analysis: Use Power BI dashboards and application records to investigate access issues, diagnose missing permissions, and resolve account errors for clinical monitors and site staff in line with defined SLAs.
• Low-Code Operations & Data Refreshes: Run, monitor, and troubleshoot day-to-day Power BI semantic models/dataflows and Power Automate workflows supporting provisioning, system notifications, and reporting.
• Data Reconciliation & Audit Preparation: Download active user logs across external platform vendors, conducting data audits using Microsoft Excel and SharePoint to ensure consistency between internal systems and vendor records.
• Quality, SOPs & Compliance: Maintain clear technical process documentation and work instructions in Word. Support root-cause analysis for recurring application issues and ensure all user access records are audit-ready for regulatory inspections.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience: 4+ years of experience as an Application Support Analyst, IT Service Desk Specialist, User Access Administrator, or Operations Support Specialist.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Hands-on experience running, monitoring, and troubleshooting Power Automate flows.
• Practical experience navigating Power BI reports/dashboards with the ability to understand underlying dataflows/semantic models to diagnose refresh errors.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint (lists and libraries), Word, and Outlook.
• Operational Excellence: Exceptional attention to detail with a proven ability to follow strict business rules and compliance requirements accurately and consistently.
• Communication & SLA Management: Strong written communication skills to liaise professionally with cross-functional internal teams, clinical monitors, and external vendors.
