Job summary

Cargo-partner is seeking an experienced Air Freight Forwarder to join our Dublin operations. You will manage day-to-day export/import shipments, liaise with clients, and handle transport documents while upholding our service standards.

The role requires 2+ years in air freight, strong customer service, knowledge of customs procedures, and familiarity with CargoWise and Thyme IT systems. You will thrive in a busy environment and help safeguard timely exports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years air cargo export or import experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• High competency in handling air cargo shipments
• Knowledge of customs procedures
• Experience with CargoWise and Thyme IT beneficial
• Knowledge of GDP, Aviation Cargo Security and Dangerous Goods preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day air cargo shipments in accordance with dispatching and delivery procedures
• Organize admission of shipments into customs warehouse, export customs clearance, loading into aircraft and dispatch
• Interface with customers/agents to take bookings, coordinate shipments, troubleshoot, provide updates
• Maximise profit and minimise costs; ensure cost/revenue estimates align with credit policy
• Make rate offers to customers and partners where applicable
• Communicate with clients on shipment status
• Use knowledge to resolve potential shipment delays
• Interact with partners across the cargo-partner network, agents, carriers and customs bodies
• Strengthen relationships with house accounts
• Understand customers’ business and our role with them
