Job summary

Accenture Ireland is seeking software engineers to build AI-accelerated applications across health and public services. You will be embedded in client engagements, delivering from design to deployment with AI-enabled tooling and modern practices.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of commercial Java experience, strong Spring/API design, and front-end skills with Angular/HTML/CSS/JS, plus SQL/NoSQL familiarity. Experience with AI tooling like Copilot/Claude is highly valued.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven commercial experience across full development lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, support), typically 3–5 years.
• Strong Core Java development skills; experience with Spring (Boot, MVC, REST) and API Design.
• Strong front-end development skills; experience with Angular, HTML, CSS, Javascript.
• Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases; familiarity with Hibernate.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments using GIT and JIRA.
• Active user of AI-enabled development tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset; clear communicator; team-player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development from design to production.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to shape requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Deliver production-grade Java applications using AI-assisted development practices.
• Build prototypes and integrations across large complex enterprise systems.
• Contribute to prompt engineering and AI workflow design as part of your delivery practice.
• Own live application health - incident response, root cause analysis, and rapid resolution.
• Use AI-assisted diagnostics to identify issues faster and implement robust fixes.
• Evolve systems by reducing technical debt and improving resilience and code quality.
