Job summary

Atlantic Search Ltd. is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design and build a shared AI/ML platform that serves multiple engineering and research teams.

This hands-on role emphasizes practical system design and scalable infrastructure rather than developing new models. You will translate ambiguous problems into concrete experiments, prototype and benchmark options, and collaborate with engineering and research to deliver reliable, scalable solutions for traditional ML and emerging AI

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering background, particularly Python and systems design.
• Solid understanding of traditional machine learning, including algorithms, model training, validation and evaluation.
• A scientific approach to problem-solving, with experience designing experiments, testing hypotheses and making evidence-based technical decisions.
• Ability to move from technical discovery and experimentation through to architecture and implementation.
• Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous technical challenges into clearly defined problems, hypotheses and targeted experiments.
• Evaluate different systems, technologies and architectural approaches through prototyping, benchmarking and experimentation.
• Design scalable, reliable infrastructure supporting both traditional ML and emerging AI workloads.
• Work closely with engineering and research teams to understand requirements and identify shared platform needs.
• Turn experimental findings into technical designs and hands-on engineering projects.
• Assess architectural trade-offs across performance, scalability, reliability and efficiency.
