Job summary

AMAX in Ireland seeks a Hardware Solutions Engineer to design and deploy high-performance computing and AI infrastructures. You will translate customer requirements into scalable server configurations, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and sales to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities include validation, performance tuning, OS provisioning, and platform-level integration, covering GPU topology, InfiniBand/Ethernet interconnects, storage, and power/thermal considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with HPC clusters, AI/ML infrastructure, or GPU-accelerated systems.
• Strong knowledge of server architecture (x86/ARM), CPU/GPU platforms, memory, storage, and networking.
• Experience with high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, RDMA, NVLink, high-performance Ethernet).
• Familiarity with OEM server platforms and system integration, including BIOS/BMC, firmware, and hardware validation.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement HPC and AI/ML infrastructure solutions, incl. GPU-accelerated clusters, storage, and low-latency networking.
• Lead end-to-end solution lifecycle from pre-sales architecture through system integration, validation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with sales and customers to translate requirements into scalable AI/HPC designs, including compute, topology, interconnect, and storage.
