Job summary

AMAX is seeking a Hardware Solutions Engineer to bridge customer requirements with engineering execution for HPC and AI/ML infrastructure. You will design GPU-accelerated clusters, validate systems, and drive deployment across customer environments.

You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to translate needs into production-ready hardware platforms, including OEM server configurations and interconnect/topology choices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on experience with HPC clusters, AI/ML infrastructure, or GPU-accelerated systems.
• Strong knowledge of server architecture (x86/ARM), CPU/GPU platforms, memory, storage, and networking.
• Experience with high-speed interconnects (InfiniBand, RDMA, NVLink, high-performance Ethernet).
• Familiarity with OEM server platforms and system integration, including BIOS/BMC, firmware, and hardware validation.
• Understanding of manufacturing and system integration processes (rack integration, burn-in, QA, and deployment workflows).
• Experience with Linux environments, scripting (Bash/Python), and system automation tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills across the full hardware and system stack.
• Experience working across customers, sales, and engineering/manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement HPC and AI/ML infrastructure solutions, including GPU clusters, storage, and fast networking.
• Lead end-to-end solution lifecycle from pre-sales architecture through validation and deployment.
• Translate requirements into scalable AI/HPC system designs (compute, topology, interconnect, storage).
• Drive OEM server and appliance configuration, BOM, firmware tuning, thermal/power alignment.
• Coordinate with manufacturing for rack integration, burn-in, and production readiness.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and POCs focused on AI workloads and HPC simulations.
• Support cluster bring-up, OS provisioning, workload managers, containers, and GPU software stacks.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning across compute, storage, network subsystems.
• Perform on-site or remote deployment support (rack, commissioning, acceptance tests).
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and integration guides.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system issues and improve product quality.
• Stay current with AI infra, HPC architectures, GPU platforms, and data center design.
