Job summary

GCS in Ireland is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to lead the design, development and delivery of production-ready AI systems. The role focuses on agentic AI, multi-agent architectures, LLM-based applications, context and memory engineering, retrieval systems and production AI platforms.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects and Engineers to establish engineering standards, reusable patterns and scalable platforms, while optimizing latency, token usage and operational costs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AI engineering experience with agentic AI and multi-agent systems.
• Experience with LLM-based applications, RAG and retrieval systems.
• Strong API and distributed-systems development background.
• Ability to lead design decisions and build reusable engineering patterns.
• Knowledge of LLMOps and AgentOps practices.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production-grade agentic AI and multi-agent systems.
• Develop agent orchestration, state management, workflow and recovery patterns.
• Create scalable context, memory, retrieval and knowledge architectures.
• Implement evaluation frameworks, observability and production debugging.
• Lead collaboration with product, architects and engineers to raise standards.
• Contribute to technical roadmaps and AI platform reliability.
