Job summary

Sherpa Kids in Ireland is seeking an Afterschool Childcare Assistant for Whitechurch NS, Dublin 16. This part-time role runs Monday to Friday from 1pm to 6pm, supporting after school activities, homework, and structured play for school-aged children.

Proficiency in English, energy for active engagement, and experience with children are essential. Garda vetting is completed after interviews, with a minimum of two written references required before starting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
