Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking a part-time after-school childcare assistant to support national-aged children at on-site school clubs in Ireland. The role runs from 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of €15.50–€15.75.

You will supervise children during activities, assist with homework and educational tasks, and help run a variety of indoor and outdoor activities in a safe, inclusive environment. Garda vetting is required and two written references are collected after interview.

Qualifications

• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview stage).
• At least 2 written references checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day.
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children.
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
