Job summary

Sherpa Kids Ireland is seeking enthusiastic carers to support primary school children in our before- and after-school programs. Working on-site at local schools, you’ll lead engaging activities, supervise play, and help with homework.

The role runs daily from 13:20 to 18:00 and supports families in a friendly, inclusive environment. Requirements include experience with school-aged children, a basic knowledge of child development, fluent English, and Garda Vetting (processed after interview)

Qualifications

• Experience working with school aged children (minimum 1 year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed after interview).
• At least 2 written references are required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play.
• Assist with homework and educational tasks.
• Engage in planned indoor and outdoor activities with the children.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and inclusive environment.
