Job summary

Sherpa Kids is seeking an After School Childcare Assistant in Carrigtwohill. This part-time role involves supervising children, helping with homework, and leading both indoor and outdoor activities at local schools.

The position requires Garda vetting after interview and two written references before starting, with hours 13:30–18:00, Monday to Friday. English proficiency is essential for daily communication.

Qualifications

• Experience working with School Aged children (Minimum 1 Year).
• Basic knowledge of child development.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• Garda vetting is essential (completed by us after interview).
• At least 2 written references checks are required before starting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during activities and free play
• Assist with homework and educational tasks
• Engaging in a variety of planned activities (both indoor and outdoor) with the children each day
• Lots of energy and enthusiasm to work with children
• Assist with games, crafts, and group activities
• Ensure a safe, clean, and inclusive environment
