Job summary

Armont Recruitment have partnered with a well-established and rapidly growing Irish business. The company operates across Ireland and the UK and seeks an Accounts Receivable & Finance Assistant to support the finance team, focusing on accounts receivable and credit control while assisting wider finance tasks.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers a path into a growing finance team with strong long-term career prospects, pension from day one, 22 days leave, parking and flexible

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within accounts receivable, credit control or a broader accounts position.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Confident user of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication skills with a professional approach to customer interactions.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a close-knit finance team.
• Sage 50 experience and construction sector exposure would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer invoicing, statements and account administration.
• Monitor aged debtors and proactively follow up outstanding balances.
• Post and allocate customer payments while investigating account discrepancies.
• Reconcile customer accounts and maintain accurate supporting records.
• Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing queries.
• Prepare debtor reporting and expected receipts information.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Assist with journals, month-end activities and wider finance administration.
• Support ongoing finance process improvements and ad hoc projects.
