Job summary

Barden is partnering with an established Irish-owned professional services business in Cork to hire a Team Lead. You will lead and develop a team of Account Managers and manage your own portfolio, while overseeing the accounting work, supported by an Accounts Administration team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people and solving tricky client queries, with a focus on improving ways of working as we grow. A strong work-life balance is valued in this role.

Qualifications

• An accounting background, whether part-qualified or qualified by experience.
• Experience leading, training, or mentoring a team.
• Solid Irish payroll experience.
• Someone who enjoys working with people and is calm when handling escalations.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of account managers.
• Manage your own portfolio of clients across invoicing, expenses, payroll, and company accounts.
• Act as the first point of escalation for complex queries, complaints, and AML issues.
• Give regular feedback and support performance reviews.
• Spot ways to improve the client experience and team processes, and see them through.

Job description

Barden is delighted to partner with an established, Irish-owned professional services business in Cork as they look to hire a Team Lead. If you have a strong accounting background but a typical accountant role is not what you want next, this could be the move for you. This is a role with lots of contact with people, in a business that values work-life balance.

You will lead and develop a team of Account Managers and look after your own portfolio of clients, all while keeping oversight of the accounting work. You will also be supported by an Accounts Administration support team.
