Job summary

Barden have an exclusive partnership with a successful SME in Dublin West to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant in a hybrid role. The successful candidate will oversee key financial processes and ensure accurate reporting across the business.

Key duties include monthly management accounts, payroll administration, VAT, CIS and RCT reporting, bank reconciliations, supplier payments and cash-flow analysis, with a strong emphasis on compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant with solid accounting experience.
• Proven ability to prepare monthly management accounts and manage payroll.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Management and processing of payroll.
• Administration and reporting of CIS and RCT requirements.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns for ROI and NI.
• Bank reconciliations, supplier payments and general bookkeeping.
• Supporting management with financial reporting and cash-flow information.

The successful person will be responsible for managing key financial and accounting activities across the business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Management and processing of payroll.
• Administration and reporting of CIS and RCT requirements.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns for both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
• Bank reconciliations, supplier payments and general bookkeeping.
• Supporting management with financial reporting and cash-flow information.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant tax and accounting requirements.

Requirements

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant.
• Previous experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong experience preparing monthly accounts.
• Experience with payroll, CIS, RCT and VAT returns is an advantage.
• Knowledge of accounting and VAT requirements in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
