OFS Global Energy Solutions in Ireland is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team on a permanent basis, with hybrid working: four days in the office and one day from home (initial training requires five days in the office).

The role covers sales invoicing, accounts receivable, supplier payments, bank reconciliations, and collaboration with operations to verify timesheets and expenses, offering career growth within a dynamic energy sector.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant role or Accounts Receivable.
  • Full working rights in Ireland at the time of application.
  • Completed or working towards a recognised bookkeeping qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Processing and issuing sales invoices to customers globally.
  • Managing documentation for invoices, including timesheets and expenses.
  • Managing customer accounts, statements, and outstanding balances.
  • Developing rapport with customers' accounts teams.
  • Entering invoices, receipts, allocations and reconciliations into the system.
  • Overseeing accounts and invoicing inboxes to support daily entries.
  • Support accounts payable and contractor invoices as needed.
  • Bank entries and reconciliations; collaborate with Operations on paperwork.
  • Assist finance team and support audits and process improvements.

The Opportunity

Due to continued expansion, we are now recruiting for an Accounts Assistant, to join our experienced Finance team on a permanent basis.

Hybrid Working: 4 days in the office and 1 day from home (Please note the role will require 5 days a week in the office during the initial training period)

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing and issuing sales invoices to customers globally
  • Managing all necessary documentation relating to each invoice from start to finish, including obtaining staff timesheets, travel and employee expenses and any other ad hoc paperwork required
  • Managing customer accounts, including processing customer statements and following up on outstanding balances owed
  • Developing and managing a strong rapport with our customer's accounts teams
  • Processing and managing accounting entries into the accounting system including invoices, receipts, allocations and reconciliations
  • Overseeing the accounts and invoicing inboxes to support daily entries
  • Supporting our finance team with accounts payable, including purchase transactions, travel and employee expenses and contractor invoices if and when required.
  • Supporting bank entries and reconciling bank accounts as required
  • Working collaboratively with the OFS Operations Team in checking, controlling and verify all staff timesheets, travel and employee expenses and any other ad hoc paperwork
  • Assisting the wider finance team and providing project support to the Operations Department on finance related matters.
  • Supporting internal and external audits and contributing to continuous improvement of financial systems and procedures.
Requirements

The ideal candidate for this opportunity, will have the following:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant, Accounts Receivable or Bookkeeping role
  • Full working rights in Ireland at the time of application
  • Have completed a recognised bookkeeping qualification (or working towards one)
  • High attention to detail and a thorough approach
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with IT systems; experience in a multi-currency environment is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
