Job summary

Kepak Group is seeking an Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role supports decision-making with timely financial information and requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include managing ledgers, budgeting, and forecasting, VAT/payroll returns, and supporting audits. Experience in manufacturing/food production and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) or part-qualified with relevant experience.
• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Experience within a manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances and trends.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare financial reports for senior management.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare and submit VAT, payroll, and other statutory returns as required.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Maintain effective financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct cost and profitability analysis.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
• Assist with business cases and investment appraisals
• Support the implementation and enhancement of finance systems.
• Develop and improve financial reporting processes.
• Ensure data integrity within financial systems.
