Job summary

Go Fractional in Dublin is seeking an Accountant to maintain financial records, prepare reports, and ensure statutory compliance. You will support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, and contribute to process improvements.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent, experience in finance, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems. Prior exposure to manufacturing or FMCG environments is advantageous, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) or part-qualified with relevant experience.
• Experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within a manufacturing, food production, or FMCG environment.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
• Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances and trends.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare financial reports for senior management.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial records.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process journals, accruals, and prepayments.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
• Prepare and submit VAT, payroll, and other statutory returns as required.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Maintain effective financial controls and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Conduct cost and profitability analysis.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions.
• Assist with business cases and investment appraisals
• Support the implementation and enhancement of finance systems.
• Develop and improve financial reporting processes.
