Job summary

Jobtailor in Cork, Ireland, is seeking a qualified accountant to manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, prepare journal entries, and support management reporting and balance sheet analyses. The ideal candidate will have experience with international subsidiaries, solid Excel skills, and a working knowledge of US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant, with a recognised accounting qualification.
• Experience in general accounting in industry and/or a public accounting firm.
• Experience working with international subsidiaries is a plus.
• Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of US GAAP a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, ability to organise and communicate effectively across various mediums with varying audiences.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and prioritization skills.
• System ERP experience a plus, primarily D365.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and roll-forward schedules.
• Prepare journal entries based on review of supporting reconciliations and schedules.
• General Ledger responsibilities including, but not limited to monthly Management reporting packages, Accounting for International Subs, Accruals, and other areas.
• Assist in preparing monthly balance sheet and income statement flux variance analyses for management reporting.
• Support in the procure to pay process.
• Support in annual subs audits where applicable.
• Support team in finance SOX compliance activities.
• Assist in process improvement projects, including coordination with cross-functional teams.
• Deliver on any ad-hoc projects as necessary.
