Job summary

Brown & Brown Ireland in Dublin is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Director to grow and retain a panel of corporate clients by delivering a full insurance broking service and expert risk understanding.

You will lead policy renewals and new business negotiations with insurers, tailor programmes to client requirements, and communicate findings clearly while upholding compliance and strong insurer relationships.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years’ broking experience with knowledge of commercial insurance products (property, liability, fleet, PI).
• Experience in insurance broking or underwriting for commercial/corporate accounts.
• CIP or studying for ACII.
• Proven relationship management with broker/insurer contacts desirable.
• Clear communication with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full insurance broking service to existing and new clients.
• Understand clients’ requirements and risk management strategies, and communicate these to insurers.
• Lead negotiations for policy renewals and new business with insurers, securing optimal terms.
• Research and analyze markets to design insurance programmes tailored to client needs.
• Offer subject-matter expertise and recommendations on placement strategies and market conditions.
• Serve as escalation point for insurer queries and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with insurers and seek regular feedback.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven Commercial Account Director within our Sales team. In this role, you will develop relationships to grow and retain a panel of Corporate customers.

What you will do:

• Provide a full insurance broking service to existing and new clients
• Gain an in-depth understanding of clients’ requirements and risk management strategies, and effectively communicate these to insurers
• Lead negotiations for policy renewals and new business with Insurers, securingoptimalterms, including for complex or challenging cases
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to selectappropriatemarketsandassistin designing insurance programmes tailored to client requirements
• Offersubject matterexpertiseand recommendations on placement strategies, policy structures, and current market conditions, presenting findings to clients whererequired
• Serve as the escalation point for resolving complex insurer queries
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures
• Build and sustain strong working relationships with insurers, seeking regular feedback on service

Knowledge,skills,and experience:

• 5-10 years’ brokingexperiencewith a goodknowledge of commercial insurances product rangesincludingcommercial property;employer’s&public liability;commercial fleet; orprofessional indemnity
• Demonstrable experience in insurance broking or underwriting forcommercial/corporate accounts
• CIPor studying for ACII
• Proven experience in relationship management, with an established network of broker and insurercontactsdesirable
